Mekanimo is a programmable 2D rigid-body physics simulator that can be used for rapid game development. It uses Python and wxPython for user interface. Box2D via pyBox2D is used as the solver to run the simulations. Currently it runs on Windows XP or Vista. Mac and Linux version will be available in the near future.

It is intended to be a fun learning tool. It enables users to create games, puzzles, and simulations with ease. Although you can use it just for fun, it can also be used to teach physics, engineering, programming, math, robotics, artificial intelligence, computational geometry, and many other subjects.
